I hate intolerance - I especially hate intolerant people, I hate them in the face! Age: Old enough to pretend I didn't hear the question, young enough to emotively storm out of the room because you asked! Why am I here: When a man and a woman love each other very much, they have 'intercourse' and if they love each other enough, the man won't 'pull out' and they'll make a baby. On this occasion, the baby was named 'Jake', and he's just great! The religion I left: Christian, Catholic Why I left My religion: disillusionment with church, doubts about god communicating to pastor, doubts about god communicating at all, contradiction between concept of "free will" and concept of omniscience god with will, "free will" doesn't make sense since desires not under our control, inability to view god as anything more than a sadistic tyrant, contradiction between bible's claim of god's love and existence of hell, doubting bible led to crumbling away of any firm belief structure, Also why I left my religion: Priest and pastor could not answer questions on quantum physics... made me question everything!   1. Very interesting interview with Jerry DeWitt. You might want to interview Dan Barker of FFRF.org to discuss his similar experience and his “Clergy Project” which helps ex-ministers turned atheists to make the painful transition to a secular life. Sounds like Jerry’s organization tries to help others who may not actually be clergy but maybe suffer similar problems due to bigotry against unbelievers.

  2. Another comment regarding episodes newer than this latest blog post:

    Episode #83 is currently labeled ‘IFS 73′ in the RSS feed (but its filename does say 83).
    Then for ‘IFS Recommends 2′, the filename is ‘IFSBONUS73.mp3′ when it should be the bonus for episode 83. Episode 73 happened two months ago.

    Also, I’m glad to see the missing regular episode 82 just now appeared, correcting another numbering issue. ;-)

      I’ve fixed the ’73 issue’ but would have to upload an updated file to fix the bonus one.

      Suffice it to say, I will give myself an uppercut and resolve to never make the same mistake again. Until next week.
